A Rooftop StormSitting on the rooftop, the world becomes my own. The sun sinks low as lights wink on, and I hide myself in the gathering darkness. Crickets take up their ratcheting chorus as the everyday noises dull down, until all that is heard is the low rumble of motors in the distance. Day has passed, relinquishing its hold on the world. And night comes out to play. Whispering breezes rustle the dry tree limbs, where soon new life will sprout into color. Inky blots dip and swoop among the trees as bats awaken in a hungry mood. Dark clouds chase each other up above, and the moon shyly hides among them, not readyA Rooftop Storm

A Moment's MagicMissing the magic of memorys moments, And seeing masks in the mirror. The simmering summers heat brings it back, Chemistry found in the amber sunset. Forming a bond between our souls, Remembering now only deepens the holes. The cold heartbreak. You left me alone With no way to romanticize your lies. Man-made misery crushing me down, And somehow still missing the magic of you. The mashing of feelings as Im forced to watch You and she do a mambo on my tattered heart. Mourning the myth of my one true love, And maiming the illusion of miracles. BA Moment's Magic

After the StormThe rain falls, drumming fingertips against the roof and windows, beating down leaves and grass, placing the world into concealment. Spears of lighting flash from cantankerous clouds out across a morbid background, followed by the growl of thunder's everlasting rage. The world hides in silent terror, helpless against nature's powerful hold. Yet, just as swiftly as it had descended upon its unwitting victims, it retreats back into itself, pleased by the sight of the havoc it has wrought. Swelled, leaden clouds give way to a robin's egg sky, where the world's buttercup blooms in triumph. Swan clouds radiate innocenAfter the Storm

Into giggles and back again. There is no room to think in between the clack of computer keys and the noise that pins me to the cold, concrete wall. No room to hear my thoughts, for how could a single wisp of idea survive Amdist the words shoving, crashing, bulldozing their way through th

Blow dainty petals with your lips, And let them float to me. Your sweet perfume will linger, Set my Imagination free.
